At Eastern Dorpers and White Dorpers, our goal is to produce the highest quality sheep, using the best genetics we can. We therefore use a combination of Embryo Transfer (ET), Artificial Insemination (AI) and excellent quality rams.

For our Mottley Dorpers, we cross our top quality Dorper sires with our lovely White Dorper cross Whiltshire Horn or White Dorper cross Damara ewes.

These crosses result in beautifully coloured Mottley Dorpers. Some have a rich, deep brown colour, while others are primarily white with patches of brown or black all over their bodies.

Being crossbreds, Mottley Dorpers exhibit ‘hybrid vigour’ to give them the best traits from the original breeds they are derived from. Our Mottley Dorpers are crosses from full-blood Dorpers and full-blood Wiltshire Horns, and full-blood Dorpers and full-blood Damaras.
